One of my dear daughters in Church did something highly commendable recently. She said God laid it on her heart to distribute monies and foodstuff to some families both within and outside the Church. She called to know if she’s receiving right. I told her to go ahead. As young as she is, she already has a mindset of being a blessing.
Friend, God is not only committed to blessing you; He wants to make you a blessing. This is your destiny in Christ; a channel of God’s blessings, not a destination. Listen, whatever God cannot pass through you, He cannot pass to you. It is not first about what you have in your pocket but about what you have in your heart. This was the difference between Abraham and Lazarus.
Lazarus made the wrong choice, don’t join him (Luke 16:21). Christ has fully paid the price for your prosperity, don’t let the devil shortchange you. When people claim or sing that; “Abraham blessings are mine…”, I always want to ask them, “Do you understand the depths and dimensions of this blessing?” When Abraham was on earth, he was never poor (Genesis 13:2).
Abraham was so wealthy that everyday in his house was like party day. He was practically taking care of minimum 318 grown and hefty men plus their families (Genesis 14:14). He was that rich. Don’t ever claim that you are tapping into Abraham’s blessings if you don’t have Abraham’s mindset; the mindset of wealth and abundance (Genesis 12:2).
If wealth or abundance is in your heart, it will flow from your hands to others. You will not have a taker’s mentality but a giver’s mentality. You want to see other lives touched. You want to take out of the little you have to put smiles on someone else’s face and by so doing you create a space in your life for the avalanche of God’s blessings. You become a distributor of the treasures of heaven (2 Corinthians 8:9, 9:8-11).
Develop your faith for financial dominion. The world is in crisis at the moment but the Kingdom of God is not. The economy of heaven is not affected. You can choose to live from that reality today. Some things are touchable and shakeable but the Kingdom of God is not (Hebrews 12:26-28, Revelation 6:6).
