When she shared her story that day, you would not have believed that she went through such experiences in life. She literally blew it but God brought His beauty out of her mess. From her, I learnt that God is not just the God of a second chance but the God of another chance.

Friend, contrary to what you may have heard, with God, you have more than a winning chance. God is not just the God of a second chance; He is the God of another chance. No matter who you are. No matter what you have done. No matter how many times you have blown it. You have got a fighting chance and a winning chance with God. You can always have a return to Him (Luke 15:17-18)

“I will arise and go to my father…” (Luke 15:18). The will to arise and go back …
[8:29 PM, 11/27/2021] Pastor Demola Awoyele: FINANCIAL HABITS

I once chatted up an older man who told me he does not use the ATM card. I was like; “How possible is this?” His response drove home a point; “I plan my finances, most ATM usages are what comes up that I don’t have in my plan. I discipline myself to say No to such and I find a way to deal with necessary emergencies.” I was inspired.

Friend, your habits are what determine your future. You don’t choose your future, you choose your habits and your habits decide your future. Financial habits are the structures you put around your financial life that help you to carry the weight of the blessings of God. While you are praying for the blessing, learn to put the right structures in place (2 Kings 4:6, Isaiah 54:1-3).

“When they were filled, he s…
[11:30 PM, 11/28/2021] Pastor Demola Awoyele: THINK MINISTRY, THINK BUSINESS

I noticed a pattern in my thinking recently. Anytime I enter an apartment, a restaurant, or any kind of hall space, I would immediately start thinking how that place can be converted to a Church. I would start looking at the sitting capacity, where the pulpit would be located and stuff like that. I think ministry most of the times.

Friend, if you would maximize destiny and become all that God has ordained for you, there are two critical thinking patterns that must undergird your daily life irrespective of who you are and what you do; you need to think in terms of business and also in terms of ministry. It is these thinking patterns that would make you leverage opportunities correctly for the benefit of humanity and the advancement of the kingdom.

“…Do you not know that I must be about my Father’s business” (Luke 2:49)? There is the business of ministry and the ministry of business. Simply put; every minister should have a business mindset and every businessman should also have a ministry mindset. By default, we often tilt to either of the two depending on our predominant passion and endeavor. But we need to balance both thinking patterns if we would do well (Romans 12:11).

A pastor is more likely going to think only about ministry and not about business. While someone in business or secular work might not think ministry. When a pastor thinks in terms of business, he would put structures around what he does in a bid to improve his work and generate better results. When a businessman understands ministry, he would leverage his business to advance God’s kingdom; he makes money while winning souls or influencing people at the same time.

“Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 2:12). You should always think of how to use your divine opportunities for ministry and business. There are times that it would be strictly ministry, there are times that it would be strictly business, and there are times that it would be both; you would make money and win souls or advance God’s kingdom at the same time.

You are at liberty to commercialize God’s Grace upon your life, except you are a full time minister or your level of consecration restricts you (Genesis 30:27-28, Matthew 10:8, Mark 10:28). Don’t feel guilty for making money; make it righteously, legally and passionately when you have to. Don’t be too greedy to lose out on the purpose of God, and don’t be too emotional or sentimental to the detriment of your business success (Ephesians 5:16-17). Sometimes, it’s not about being nice; it is about being right.

[4:10 PM, 11/29/2021] Pastor Demola Awoyele: MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME

I was discussing with a minister of the gospel years ago. As we got to the subject of finance, he said to me; “I have about eight streams of income even as a full time minister. What then is the excuse of an average Christian today?” That statement got me thinking about multiple streams of income.

Friend, your life needs to be constantly fed if you hope to stay financially buoyant (Genesis 2:8-10). Whereas, God’s storehouse of provisions is inexhaustible, your supply from the storehouse is limited to the channels that you make available to Him; you need to have multiple streams of income (2 Corinthians 9:8). Streams of income are created. Income does not just come in; it comes in if you know what to do to make it come.

“Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches” (John 5:2). Your income must exceed your outgo if you would be financially stable and successful. It has been said that; “If your outgo exceeds your income, then your upkeep would be your downfall.” The problem is not that things are expensive but the question is; “Is your income increasing?”

“And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land” (1 Kings 17:7).
If one of your channels of income suddenly closes, how would you be affected? It is a function of the other streams you have or don’t have. No matter how huge your only source of income is, it may not be enough to take care of the myriads of needs in your life.

The Sea never runs dry because it has several streams entering into it. You are like a financial ocean that requires multiple streams for survival, sustenance and success. There must be several feeders entering into your financial pocket (Isaiah 66:12).
Your gifts, talents, skills, education, training, experiences, exposures, opportunities etc. are all possible streams of income for you if you know how to monetize them.

God will never leave you stranded. Ask Him to show you what you have in your house, heart and hand that can generate streams of income (Genesis 21:19, Exodus 4:1-5, 2 Kings 4:1-7). Look beyond salary and explore other sources. Learn how to invest. Money works harder than human beings and is also capable of working for generations. Do the bulk of the thinking and let money do the hard work (Genesis 24:63, 26:12-14). The harder you think, the lesser you work.
