I needed to make some transactions in a place. It would require some funds. I had already been given some discounts. But while rounding up the transaction, I mentioned I knew so and so person. The response I got taught me a lesson. The man in charge said; “You should have told me you came from this person, I would have given you further discounts.”

Friend, you must not be ashamed or afraid to go into places with the name of Jesus. His name is our access code to life’s unlimited blessings. In His name, we don’t just have discounts, we have waivers! We can bank on His name. What others struggle and sweat to get, we get it on a platter of Grace, in His name.

Like Peter, can you be able to tell life and whoever cares to listen; “I may not have money, I may not have the best of certificates, I may not know anyone in government. But such as I haveā€¦.” (Acts 3:6)? You cannot be stranded with the name of Jesus!

Some are born great, some achieve greatness, while others have greatness thrusted on them. Jesus passed for all the three; He was born great (Luke 1:31-32). He achieved or worked for His greatness (Philippians 2:5-11). And He received His great name as an inheritance (Hebrews 1:6). He got the name, not for Himself, but for us (Mark 16:17)!

You must know how to use the name of Jesus. You must have confidence in the name of Jesus (Psalms 20:7). In whose name is your trust? Is it in your uncle? Is it in your degree? Is it in your family background? Those who trust in those are brought down (Psalms 20:8).

Set up your banners in the name of Jesus (Psalms 20:5)! Start that business in the name of Jesus. Go for that interview or exam in the name of Jesus. Cast out those demons in the name of Jesus. Get rid of that sickness in the name of Jesus. Enter that nation in the name of Jesus. Be confident of protection in the name of Jesus (Proverbs 18:10). Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord (Psalms 118:26). Amen!
