A man of God was ministering at a men’s conference in a church. The men did not give much attention to his teaching. So, He told them; “The reason your business is not thriving is because of how you treat your wives.” They all began to pay attention to his teaching. They wanted to enjoy open heaven in their marriages.

Friend, there is something like open heaven in marriage (Genesis 1:27-28). Just as it is in all other areas of life, you need Open Heaven in your home and marriage. But the key to experiencing open heaven in your home and family is in how you treat your spouse (Malachi 2:13-15). The synergy between you and your spouse is a divine strategy for marital success.

Sadly, many couples are living as enemies with their spouses. Is it not funny that the same person that God gave to join you to win the battles of life is the same person you have chosen to fight with (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)? No wonder you keep losing battles in your career, business, finances, health, etc.

There is no power of agreement that is stronger than the agreement between husbands and wives (Amos 3:3). When Jesus said if two of you shall agree together concerning a thing, I believe He had marriage in mind (Matthew 18:19). Two are better than one is a marriage mathematics. When husbands and wives join forces together in the Holy Spirit, they remain unbeatable (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

Recently, I was speaking to our women in church. I told them that the success of their husbands is in their hands. If a woman wants a man to fail, he will likely fail, and vice versa (Proverbs 31:10-12). Dear woman, use your covenant joining with your husband to pray him into success and fulfilment (Malachi 2:14). One woman told God; “God, if my husband fails, hold me responsible.” That’s a woman who knows her place in the marriage.

Husbands and wives are signatories together in the Bank of Heaven (1 Peter 3:7). You cannot go to God without your wife or husband and expect to get anything tangible from Him. God will ask you, “Where is your spouse?” He or she must append the signature if your request must go through. If couples understand this, they would be each other’s best friend.
