Recently, my daughter sat idle at home. Normally, she’d be up with her school assignments. So I asked her; “Hey, what about your assignments?” She responded; “Daddy, I’m tired of assignments. I don’t feel like doing any assignments now.” I lovingly responded; “Don’t be tired. This is the time to do assignments.” We later discovered she wasn’t feeling too well.

Friend, don’t be tired of assignments (Isaiah 42:4). Truly, assignments are the livewire of the kingdom. Without assignments, the kingdom life would be boring. Divine assignment is what delivers from satanic appointment (2 Samuel 11:1-5). Like I told my daughter, this is the time to do kingdom assignments.

There is no better time to serve God than now (Ecclesiastes 12:1). Like Jesus, we must be about our Father’s business (Luke 2:49). Like Daivd, we must serve the will of God in our generation (Acts 13:36). Dear young man, this is the time to invest into your divine call (2 Peter 1:10).

Stop loafing around. Stop wasting time on social media. Except you run a business or ministry on social media, you have no business sleeping and waking up on social media. It is the biggest distraction of the 21st century. Don’t be trapped. Truly busy people are not always found on social media.

Perhaps you used to be engaged with divine assignments, but you are now tired. This is not time to get tired. We are the finishing generation (Hebrews 12:1-2). The final lap of every relay race is the most crucial. You can waste years of labour if you slow down or give up now (1 Corinthians 15:58). We must not only start well. We must finish well (Galatians 3:3).

If you are genuinely tired, find out why. Is it because you have not seen commensurate results? Are you being attracted or distracted by something else (2 Corinthians 10:12)? Are you already slipping into worldliness? Is it an attack of the devil or the weakness of the flesh? Are you spiritually sick (Revelation 3:15-16)? Whatever it is, you need to diagnose it early and get back on track. There are still more lands to conquer (Joshua 13:1). Amen.
