While growing up, there’s this song that we randomly hear around. Part of the opening lines goes thus; “God has offended me and I want to get a revenge…” While the songwriter’s aim was to let people know that they don’t have to be offended at God, I get to think about that first line and wonder; “Do people really get offended at God?”

Friend, you need to make up your mind to never be offended at God. Perhaps, you are offended at God. Will I say you should forgive God? No! I would rather say that you should forgive yourself for getting offended at God. Why? It is simply unreasonable to be offended at God. God is always right even when we don’t know or understand what He’s doing (Job 13:15).

Rather than getting offended at God, get understanding. Rather then feeling bad or offended that God has not answered your prayers, can you try to understand why or what He’s doing? Rather than feeling that God has cheated you because you are not where you thought you would be, why not gain the right perspective and understanding about the process that God is taking you through?

Instead of misunderstanding the fatherhood and faithfulness of God because of the way He or life is treating you, why not go to Him in humility and sincerity asking the right questions (Job 2:9-10). God is not hard. God is not bad. He does no evil to His children. He has good thoughts and plans for them (Jeremiah 29:11, James 1:13, 1John 1:5). His ways and thoughts are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). But we can bridge the gap by going to Him in fellowship and intimacy (Psalms 103:7).

We can ask God the right questions in humility and sincerity trusting Him for the right answers. And even when He seems to be silent, we should learn to trust His love for us. We should learn to trust God even when we cannot trace Him (Job 19:25). He is too faithful to fail. He will not fail you. He cannot mishandle your life. You are a divine project in God’s hands. You cannot be abandoned. God knows what He’s doing with your life. When He’s done with you, you would come out shinning; you would fulfil your destiny.

I pray that you would live life free from offence towards God. I pray that you would fulfil God’s highest plans and purpose for your life in Jesus name! It’s a new season for you! A season of freedom! A season of peace! A season of love and sound mind! A season of joy and rejoicing! Your miracle is around the corner. Stay strong and encouraged! You will succeed!!!!
