A great man was once asked during an interview; “Sir, you are one of the most successful people in your field. How do you position yourself for the future?” His response revealed his mindset and understanding; “I don’t position myself for the future, I create the future.” This must be the mindset of anyone who wants to be great in life.
Friend, you need to create the future. Stop waiting for the future to happen. Create the future (Jeremiah 29:11-12). Be the future. Those who wait for their chance or opportunity may never have one. The future you are dreaming of will not be handed to you on a platter of gold. You need to go for it (Philippians 3:14). You need to create it.
There are possibilities that exist inside you and your future. But until you work towards it, it may never happen (Proverbs 19:24, 21:25). It is not enough to know that your future is bright. You need to walk the road to that future. Nobody holds you anything in life. You need to take responsibility for your outcome (Judges 11:1-11).
Like the four lepers, if you don’t move, nothing will move (2 Kings 7:3). If you don’t step out and take your destiny in your hands, you will end up being a victim of circumstances. Learn to create your future under God. Stop complaining that things are not happening the way you want them. Create your own possibilities (John 5:7-9).
Partnering with God gives you an unfair advantage in life (Jeremiah 33:3). You see what others are not seeing. You see before others see. You create the future that others will pay you to live in. It was the future that Joseph created in and with God that the whole nation of Egypt, including his family, lived in (Genesis 45:26). Learn to partner with God.
The future belongs to those who prepare for it today (Proverbs 6:6-11). Be an early riser. Don’t be a late comer. Early start is an advantage in finishing well and strong. While others are loafing, get to labour (1 Corinthians 15:10). While others are contemplating and delaying destiny, make a decision to follow God, purpose, and the right process. Create the future. You will succeed.
