I bumped into a young man recently. I could barely recognize his face. But he insisted he knew me, that I ministered to him while he was in school. He concluded by saying that what he is and what he is doing at the moment were products of that meeting. I had forgotten. But the impact lingers.

Friend, calling is a seed. It operates by the law of seed time and harvest (Genesis 8:22). It will take eternity to fully unravel the real impact of the exercise of God’s calling on a man’s life. This is why those who are now minded would not appreciate the beauty of the calling. It takes a Future minded person to sustain consistency in the pursuit of divine call (Philippians 3:12-14).

You cannot really judge anything or anyone a failure or success until the future comes (1 Corinthians 4:5).Some of what people call success today are failures when you look at them with eternity in view. Some people would not have given up on their call if they realize that the harvest would soon speak (2 Timothy 2:6, James 5:7).

There must have been a reason the Bible uses three significant descriptions for Christians; soldiers, athletes and farmers (2 Timothy 2:3-6). All of these are input-output engagements. They also require patience and consistency. Your input determines your output, and when you have the right input, your output is guaranteed; it’s only a matter of time.

Man is an acronym for Morning, Afternoon and Night. The morning season is the seed time (Ecclesiastes 11:6). It is the most demanding and with little or no result. Expecting results at this season is to be disappointed. At this time, the difference between the sower and the loafer is not visible (Proverbs 6:6-11, 20:4). It may look as if you are wasting your time.

A lot people are praying for their due season when they have not paid their dues (Galatians 6:9). It’s just effort in futility. Rather than envying a man whose due season has come, let his success encourage and challenge you to pay your own dues. As a man of destiny, you need to keep reminding yourself that pay day comes; just focus on paying your dues.
