He sat before me in the office sharing the vision that God has given him. As he spoke, I saw genuineness of heart and vision. But I noticed his apprehension about the same. I simply told him; “Calm down. Start from somewhere and grow from there. What God shows you will take time and process. “That counsel greatly helped him.

Friend, calling delivers in phases. Most times, what God shows you now is not for now? A lot of people have made shipwreck of their destiny by going ahead of God’s timing for things. Your first response to divine revelation should be documentation and intercession, not immediate manifestation (Habakkuk 2:3).

The sin of assumption is a grave sin in destiny (Acts 7:25). The cure for assumption is patience. Moses initially went ahead of God’s timing, and he got stuck. That a vision is burning in your heart does not mean you should start immediately. Wait until all pressure dies. There is an atmosphere of peace and rest that provides platform for safe delivery of God’s vision (Isaiah 28:16).

Notice that Jesus remained subject to His parents even after He told them about His father’s business (Luke 2:49-51). The timing must be right. The process must be complete. He must secure the marching order of Heaven. He would still finish everything He was on earth to do within the stipulated time. Some people think that running ahead of God would mean finishing on time. Most times, it would mean ending in a mess.

It is better to be behind divine schedule than to be ahead of schedule. But it is best to be on schedule. All you need for life and destiny have been planted along your paths of destiny (Isaiah 28:10). Going ahead of schedule is going to an empty future. If lines must fall for you in pleasant places, you need to get God as your portion and see Him as the One who maintains your lot (Psalms 16:4-6).

You can get some things by faith but you will get most things by faith and patience. Never respect a man of faith if you have not seen his patience at work. It is only those who through faith and patience obtained the promise that are worth following (Hebrews 6:12). Life is in phases and men are in sizes. Calling delivers in phases. Never forget this.
