I had it tough with one of my lecturers in my final year on campus. There was a day that he literally ‘threw’ me and my colleagues out of his office. I did not allow that to move me. I simply told my colleagues; “I would have an “A” in this course no matter what.” It happened exactly as I said it.

FRIEND, YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE IS CRUCIAL IN YOUR JOURNEY OF DESTINY. For a Child of God, the question is not; “Is God with me?” It is; “Am I conscious of His presence?” God has vowed to never leave you nor forsake you, but you can still be a victim of life’s circumstances if you are not conscious of His presence (Hebrews 13:5-6).

SPIRITUAL THINGS WORK BY CONSCIOUSNESS AND CONSCIOUSNESS IS BUILT BY PRACTICE. What you say and what you do determine the atmospheres that rule your life. For instance, when we sing songs of worship, we are not trying to bring down God’s presence. WE ARE SIMPLY BRINGING OURSELVES TO A PLACE OF CONSCIOUSNESS OF HIS PRESENCE (Psalms 22:3, 114:1-8).

Why did Ephraim turn back despite being armed (Psalms 78:9-11)? They lost the consciousness of God’s Presence. LISTEN, YOUR SKILL, GIFTS, SALVATION ETC., NOTWITHSTANDING, IF YOU ARE NOT CONSCIOUS OF GOD’S PRESENCE, IT WOULD MAKE NO DIFFERENCE. This was what separated David from the rest of Israel (1 Samuel 17:45-47). THE DEVIL KNOWS THE POWER OF GOD’S PRESENCE THAN SOME BELIEVERS TODAY (1 Samuel 4:5-8, Psalms 114:5-8).

The fact that Joseph was brought down to Egypt did not matter; he was still prosperous as a slave (Genesis 39:1-2). What mattered was the consciousness of God that he had despite his location or situation. WHEN PROBLEMS SEEM BIG BEFORE YOU, YOU CAN ALWAYS GUESS THAT YOU HAVE LOST TOUCH WITH DIVINE PRESENCE. With God beside you, everything is possible (Psalms 23:4-6, Hebrews 13:5-6).

LEARN TO PRACTISE GOD’S PRESENCE. Do this by praying in the Spirit always and by soaking yourself in worship and thanksgiving (Ephesians 5:20, 6:8, Colossians 4:2). Praying in the Spirit energizes your faith (Jude 1:20). WORSHIP AND THANKSGIVING CAUSE YOU TO SEE GOD FOR WHO HE IS AND YOUR SITUATIONS FOR WHAT THEY ARE (Jeremiah 32:17, 27).
