A young man went for a travel visa interview. Everybody was going in and coming out with their heads bowed. Some were literally crying. But as he went in, he assured himself that God’s favour was upon him and that his case was different. He was the only one who came out of the interview room smiling. His visa was granted. He walked conscious of God’s favour despite the negative outcomes around.

Friend, you need to be conscious of God’s favour. Favour works by consciousness (SoS 1:3). You can carry favour and not walk in favour if you are not conscious of it. Your consciousness determines your confession, and your confession will affect your consciousness (Psalms 30:7). What are you confessing? If you confess favour, you have it, and if otherwise, it’s your choice.

The highest level of favour is the favour that Christ brought us into by redemption. We have been made accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6). We are blessed and highly favoured. It means that wherever we go, we enjoy acceptance and preferential treatment from men (Luke 1:28, 30). Favour with God is what activates favour with men.

Rather than looking for favour with men, why not seek the favour of God (Proverbs 29:26). If you use the same energy you use to pursue men to pursue God, you will have more results than you are currently having. Rather than putting pressure on men, why not put pressure on prayer so you can secure the hand of God upon your life (Genesis 32:24-28)?

You cannot beg God and beg man at the same time. Like Jacob, if you win with God, you would win with men. Your skill may bring you to the Palace, but it takes God to give Pharaoh a dream (Genesis 41:1-14). This is what God’s favour would do. It would create the right opportunities for your gifts and skills to find expression (Ecclesiastes 9:11). It would withdraw sleep from authorities so that you can be remembered for good (Esther 6:1).

Take care of your confessions, and God would take care of your outcomes (Hebrews 13:5-6). Never follow people to confess negative. Never say what you see, but say what you want to see. Favour consciousness makes you expect to be served first, even if it won’t go round and reach others. It makes you see lifting where others are cast down (Proverbs 22:29). Be conscious of God’s favour today. You will succeed.
