A shoe company sent two salesmen to Africa to determine the market potential for their products. One salesman was sent to the east coast of Africa, while the other salesman was sent to the west coast of Africa. Both the salesmen completed a basic survey of the target market and called back to the office.

The salesman sent to the east coast of Africa reported: “No one here wears any shoes, there is no market for us here! _ the other salesman sent a message; “No one here wears any shoes, there is a huge market for us, send inventory fast!”

Friend, you are either a problem solver or you are part of the problem. Since Adam, problems have been existing in the world and would keep existing. One of your assignments as a child of God is to be a problem solver. I believe so much that inside every one of us is a solution to a problem somewhere (Jeremiah 1:4-10).

Until you meet the problem you are meant to solve, life would not have the right meaning (1 Samuel 17:29). Problem solvers run towards the same problems that others run away from. This was what distinguished David in his days. When you know that you are born for this, you would refuse to be intimidated by the size of the problem but be energized by the capacity of greatness inside you (2 Timothy 1:6-7, Philemon 1:6).

There are different reactions that people have towards problems. Some ask; _”What’s happening?” Some ask; _”Why is this happening?”_ Some others ask; “Who’s the cause of this problem?”_ But problem solvers go the extra mile asking; _”How do we solve this problem?”_ Problem solvers don’t paper over problems; they go right on to proffer timely solutions.

Problem solving begins with a mindset. While some people see problem in every solution, others see solution in every problem. Problem solvers see opportunities where others see obstacles. They know that every problem has in it the seed of its own solution (1 Corinthians 10:13). If you would maximize your potentials and fulfil your destiny, you need to rise as a problem solver today (Judges 5:6-7).
