I recently shared about visiting my childhood church, where I had the privilege of ministering to the congregation. Among the many comments, one stood out: “It’s good to be back where you started. I also benefited from the church because of how you were trained there. Your leadership during NYSC in Akwa Ibom showed you were called to equip the saints.”

Friend, you need to take your training serious (Acts 4:13). Put the same energy and passion you put into manifestation into training. An average person wants to manifest greatness, but not many people want to get trained. I have noticed in church work that those who always want to preach don’t eventually do well when given the opportunity to do so (2 Peter 2:17).

Those who are lost in service and training eventually do well when given the opportunity to lead (Psalm 78:70-72). Therefore, if you must desire anything. If you must be obsessed with anything. Desire to be trained. Be obsessed with training. Your attitude to training today is a prophecy of your manifestation tomorrow (2 Timothy 2:2).

The most important training you would ever have is informal training (2 Kings 3:11). We are in a certificate-crazy society. People love the certificate or paper in their hands, not the transformation experience in their lives. People can pay for a course without attending lectures just to get the certificate (John 8:31-32).

Don’t be obsessed with certificates. Be obsessed with transformation (Romans 12:2). You are the greatest certificate that will be presented to your generation. The paper in your hand or file will only amount to a waste or burden if there’s no commensurate transformation to match it (1 Timothy 4:15).

The church is a training ground. If you miss it here, you would likely miss it for life (1 Timothy 3:15). All the teachings, examples, programs, services, interactions, assignments, etc., are all trainings in disguise. Like David, when people see your manifestation out there, it should point them to the house or church that trained you (1 Samuel 17:55-58).
