I heard a statement from my spiritual father that has shaped my understanding of relationships and partnerships. “If you have one and I have half, but you refuse to listen to me because of your one. I would connect and collect your one and add to my half. So, I’d be better off afterwards.” This simple statement shows the need to value partnership.
Friend, progress requires partnership (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). You can hardly do anything big without partnership. When God was to create man, He consulted with the other members of the trinity (Genesis 1:26). “Let us” is a better way to live than “Let me.” Of course, there are things to do alone, but great things cannot be done alone.
The people who attempted to build the tower of Babel did not know God and were not even aligned with divine purpose, but partnership brought possibilities to them (Genesis 11:1-6). Those of us who claim to know God and are in alignment with divine purpose cannot afford to do less in our lives and endeavours.
One of the reasons people do not partner for progress is because of relationship gaps in their lives (Judges 18:28). If you are not good at making and managing relationships, you would not be able to partner correctly. One reason you must live free of offences, envy, strife, and all kinds of relationship issues is because of partnership (Genesis 13:7-11).
If Apostle Peter and the widow in 2 Kings 4 did not understand partnership, their harvests would have been limited (2 Kings 4:1-7, Luke 5:1-11). There are some blessings God will not send your way if you don’t have the right partnership in place. There are some businesses you cannot execute alone. You need to pray for the right partners and the wisdom to manage them (Psalm 133:1-3).
If you have an oerbloated sense of importance, you cannot appreciate and maximise partnership (Romans 12:3). No matter who you are and what you have, you need other people in your life. Partnership requires humility (James 4:6-7). Where do you need to humble yourself and partner with the right people?
