After hearing the testimony of how God prospered and settled a young man in our city, he came to ask me; “Sir, how do I make it in this city. Is it possible to achieve this measure of success? What is the secret to an excelling life?” I summarized my counsel and encouragement to him in one word; “Process”.
Friend, you need to go through the process. The truth is, success is sweet and admirable, but behind every sweet is a sweat, and behind every glory is a story. Nothing just happens; things are made to happen. God does not bypass process in the fulfilment of His purpose in your life.
“For you, O God, has proved us: you have tried us, as silver is tried” (Psalms 66:10). God takes us through processes. Divine process is not just about the passage of time, it is to help us become what we need to become so that we can handle the blessing that He’s bringing. There is nothing as ugly and unfortunate as a man who is not prepared for his blessings.
“Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob… And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel” (Judges 11:3-4). Jephthah did not become a man of valor overnight; it was in the process of time. He never minded the rejection. He never minded the days of little beginning. He used them as a challenge to work on himself. A supposed bastard returned as a warrior; he was put in charge.
Time is a processor. You must not allow time to just pass, let God process you with time. Let Him move you closer to His plans and purpose for your life. It does not matter where or what you are now, when you submit to process, you would achieve greatness. Submitting to process brings out the best in you. The difference between Orange and Orange juice is process. You cannot compare their value and price.
No matter how much you are in a hurry, some things will naturally take time. Prayer cannot change this fact. When a pregnant woman desires or prays to give birth in less than nine months, she should be ready for an abortion or some complications. It is the same in destiny. Allow God to process you so you won’t abort your destiny. Go through the process. Stop complaining. Stop being hasty. Stop playing truant. You will succeed!
